The 18th SolarEX Istanbul 2026
Fellow Energy Makes Grand Debut with Proprietary Jupiter Cells and Modules
【ISTANBUL, TURKEY, April,2026】 At the 18th SolarEX Istanbul 2026 Fellow Energy (FELLOW ENERJI A.S.), a world-leading Tier 1 PV manufacturer, officially launched its Jupiter solar cells and PV modules based on the fully proprietary patented PERT Plus technology, emerging as a highlight of the event. The debut of these new products marks the successful industrialization of the PERT Plus technology platform , which was initially introduced by the company in partnership with the Middle East Technical University (METU) Solar Energy Research and Application Center (ODTÜ-GÜNAM) on January 16, 2026, in Gaziantep.

As Turkey’s first manufacturer with independently developed and patented cell technology, Fellow Energy’s Jupiter series offers global PV investors a highly efficient and robust new option in the N-type technology sector. Its core values of “high efficiency, low risk, and bankability” have attracted strong interest and in-depth inquiries from numerous visitors at the exhibition.

From Technology Platform to Product Commercialization: The Industrialization Journey of PERT Plus
On January 16, 2026, Fellow Energy officially introduced its innovative PERT Plus (Passivated Emitter Rear Totally Diffused Plus) technology to the industry. As a comprehensive upgrade over the conventional PERT structure, this technology adopts a doped Si film back surface field (DSF-BSF) design, delivering exceptional passivation performance while fully leveraging the inherent ultralow light-induced degradation (LID/LeTID) advantages of N-type silicon wafers.
At this SolarEX exhibition, the tangible products empowered by this technology — Jupiter cells and Jupiter series modules — made their first public appearance. The mass-produced Jupiter cells achieve a conversion efficiency of over 25.2%, with a bifaciality rate exceeding 80% and outstanding reliability verified by three-times IEC standard stress tests. The module product lineup covers a power range from 460W to 720W, catering to diverse photovoltaic power application scenarios.
Core Strengths: Delivering Certain Returns in an Uncertain Market
Against the industry backdrop of global patent disputes and high investment thresholds, Fellow Energy’s PERT Plus technology stands out with its independent intellectual property rights. Its supply chain utilizes silicon materials from international suppliers such as OCI, complying with stringent international trade requirements and ensuring stable and reliable supply security.
Economic performance is another highlight of the PERT Plus technology. Simulation data shows that a 9.99MW PV power plant in Van, Turkey, achieves a 16.1% higher 30-year power generation output compared to conventional PERC modules, while field test data from the demonstration site indicates a 14.6% increase, on par with mainstream N-type technologies. More importantly, thanks to high compatibility with existing PERC production lines, its capital expenditure (CAPEX) risk is significantly lower than other products available on the market, enabling more competitive project internal rate of return (IRR) and a lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE).
Summary of Technical Advantages:
- Proprietary Patents, Safe and Reliable: Fully owned by Fellow Energy with technology patents , ensuring IP security and reliability.
- Outstanding Performance, Leading Returns: Cell efficiency surpasses 25.2%, featuring high bifaciality and an annual degradation rate as low as 0.4%, guaranteeing high power generation revenue throughout the lifecycle.
- Stable Investment, Controllable Risks: Low production line upgrade costs, independent and stable supply chain, providing solid support for project financing.
- Comprehensive Certifications, Strong Bankability: Products have obtained international certifications including TÜV SÜD, CSA, etc. and independent bankability assessments.
